Adults Will Going To Love This New York’s First Boozy Ice Cream Parlour
Boozy milkshakes and spiked slushies are practically synonymous with rooftop drinking in New York, but one savvy entrepreneur is introducing a new category of cold, sweet, liquor-infused fun. Behold, the ice cream parlour.
Melissa Tavss, the founder of Tipsy Scoop, opened the city’s very first alcoholic ice cream parlour last May 7, combining a love for ice cream and cocktails into a one seriously intriguing scoop.
After several years of working in marketing for liquor brands, Tavss familiarized herself with the concept of infusing alcohol into pretty much any edible product.
“We planned a lot of launch parties for clients and asked caterers to infuse everything with alcohol, from raspberry liquor crepes to bourbon wings,” Tavss said.
