Mark Zuckerberg’s Oculus Reveals His Vision for Facebook VR
Oculus just got a new virtual reality kit which is a glove that lets users type in thin air, it also allows you to shoot webs just like Spider-Man. The gloves appear to attach wirelessly to an Oculus VR headset which projects images to the user as they move around in real time.
The VR system that Zuckerberg used doesn’t appear to use normal external tracking cameras, instead it utilizes a collection of a third-party OptiTrack sensors. VR gloves add to the virtual reality experience which allows its users to see their hands in a virtual reality game.
Zuckerberg gave no more detail on the new gloves however he revealed more about the Oculus high-tech research facility. The goal is to make VR and AR what we all want it to be, software that lets you experience anything and a new technology that lets you interact with a virtual world just like how you do in the real world.
