This Shelter Are Build For The Homeless By These Architecture Students
USC Architecture faculty Scott Mitchell and Sofia Borges are teaching a fourth year studio focused on homelessness.
Funded by a gift from USC alumni David & Mary Martin’s Madworkshop, the studio was recently featured in Wired and Azure magazines.
In addition to learning about current homeless conditions in Los Angeles, students are designing and building prototypes that will be given away to members of the homeless population.
Their final project involves designing plans for Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission, to be used for fundraising.
